This document is a template notice for postsecondary institutions to use in informing eligible students about their rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

The Student Privacy Policy Office (SPPO) is reviewing over four years a sample of the websites of 1,504 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to identify whether and how these websites include information on student privacy.
